NASDA 2023 Production Season

NASDA is thrilled to present to you its 2023 season. As always, we bring you an eclectic and exciting selection of musicals, plays, ensemble pieces and creative projects. Each is performed with passion by talented students from Years 1 to 3 of our Bachelor of Music Theatre programme.

First off the blocks in May is a school tour of Honk Jr, a heart-warming story about being different, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling.

NASDA’s latest production is the classic rags-to-riches story, Me and My Girl, featuring award-winning songs by Noel Gay. The show is on from 1-9 September at the NASDA theatre. Support our talented music theatre ākonga and enjoy a great show: book your ticketshere.

In November we present Godspell, a musical structured as a series of parables based on the Gospel of Matthew. Rounding out the year, also in November, is Faust.Us which very loosely adapts Marlowe’s Elizabethan play about selling your soul to the devil to our era of climate emergency. It investigates what we mean by ‘Us’ through a unique collaboration between NASDA and nine learning disabled artists from Different Light Theatre.

If you’ve been to a NASDA production before, you’ll know you can expect a quality experience. If you’ve not yet had the pleasure, you’re in for a treat.
